Let me introduce myself , My name is William Buck, I am a 66 year old grandfather and have enjoyed fishing throughout my lifetime. Since I am retired, I have nothing but time to dedicate my energy towards a site that deals with nothing but fishing. On this site I will be sharing information on areas of discussion such as what baits to use for certain types of fish, how to properly weight your line all the way to safe boating while fishing.

I have been  fishing for  50 plus years on and off. I  have  fished in rivers, lakes and in the Gulf during those 50 plus years. I enjoy river and lake fishing the best. I did ice fishing  and tried fly fishing in my teen years but never really got the hang of fly fishing.

My father got me into fishing as he would take me fishing after he got home from work to the local river. We would dig some worms out of the flower beds to use as bait. He would take a five gallon bucket to put the fish in that I caught so that he could accidentally knock the bucket over and the fish would go back into the river before we left for home because they were not large enough to keep and he did not want me to be upset because we were not taking them home with the ones he caught.

I am a catch and release angler and do not really target any species in particular.

So that is my background in fishing.
